New Year’s Day Yin & Yoga Nidra
with Heather Tourkin
Tuesday, January 1st 2019
In contrast to the more dynamic Ashtanga practice, the first half of this Yin/Yoga Nidra combo class will target the connective tissues in the body through static stretching. We’ll work on gaining a more thorough range of motion in different areas of the body, but particularly in the hips and low back.
Once we’ve revitalized our tissues, we’ll move on to an extended yoga nidra (yogic sleep) practice, meant to revitalize our minds. In the words of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, yoga nidra means relaxation, not sleep. Relaxation that is blissfully happy, that has no end.
Ashtanga Nation Pass Holders: $20
